Meet Christine Kay Wong

Therapist for Adult Children of Immigrants, Families, and Athletes

Sports Psychology & Strategic Coach

You work so hard.

Yet it always feels like you’re falling short.

The constant pressure. The criticism that hurts more than you can show. The sense of never being good enough.

Trying to set boundaries, even though your parents don’t understand what boundaries are.

Trying to be the best, even if it means burning yourself out in the process.

It’s like you’re stuck on a hamster wheel and don’t know how to get off.

Whether you’re a burned-out professional, a busy parent trying to break cycles of generational trauma, or an athlete aiming for your full potential… you belong here.

I specialize in supporting adult children of immigrants, families, and athletes navigating grief, trauma, and burnout.

I understand the unique pressures you face, especially when cultural expectations conflict with your personal needs.

Growing up as children of immigrants, we’re taught to hide our emotions, get straight A’s, and perform, perform, perform. The pressure is exhausting.

It may feel like you’re living by other people’s expectations instead of your own choices.

I get it. I remember a time when I was personally grieving, and people around me told me to “move on.” But that approach didn’t work for me, and I understand if it’s not working for you either.

I believe it’s a strength to understand and manage our emotions. It’s okay to acknowledge that we’re tired, hurting, or grieving. Emotions don’t make us weak; they make us human.

It’s my goal to break down the stigma surrounding mental health.

Because when one person heals, the whole community heals.

Serving my community means the world to me.

There’s no cookie-cutter approach here. I offer support for all aspects of your identity – child of immigrants, working professional, parent, athlete, and more.

Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. I’ll meet you exactly where you are – even if you’re nervous and not sure what to talk about.

Clients like that I’m approachable and genuine.

In our sessions, you’ll experience my empathy, care, and humor. I’ll show you how to regulate your nervous system, build positive self-talk, and find ways to feel safe emotionally.

Using breathwork and mindful approaches, we’ll work through challenges, limiting beliefs, and painful experiences that are holding you back.

Even if no one in your family supports you… sometimes it just takes one person to remind you that you are worthy.

I am here for you.

Whatever you’re going through, you can get through it, and you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy, in your darkest hours, is the support you need.

You’ve worked so hard to survive.

You deserve to thrive in your life.

Take the first step toward your healing, freedom, and empowerment.
